Unusual vintage French andirons representing a pair of dogs of hound or pointer type. The dogs are beautifully cast in bronze, with a high level of detail, and the balancing prongs are in iron.

These andirons are in good condition, with minimal signs of wear for their age. They have just been cleaned and buffed, to remove ash residue, but they haven’t been polished, as they look good in their current burnished condition. But they could be polished up to a more shiny finish if desired.
