This is a striking chest of drawers with layers of very old paint giving it tremendous texture on both the base and the top. The original old wooden handles in variegated shades add to its character. As well as being eye-catching, it’s also a thoroughly practical piece of furniture with large, deep drawers – two short over three long. The backplate of one of the handles is broken (please see listing images), but the handles are all intact.
