A massive, solid, painted French chest of drawers. The simplicity of the design and distressed paint finish give this piece a slightly rustic feel, which is offset by the elegant dark grey marble top. The large bun feet and brass, lion’s head drop handles add to its immense character. It has five drawers: three main large drawers with handles, and also two more shallow ‘secret’ drawers without handles – one in the pediment below the top, and one in the deep bottom rail.
